Krillion — Daily Rare-Answer Game
Find a true answer other players are unlikely to think of. The rarer it is, the deeper you dive.
How to Play Krillion
- Open today’s game in your browser. No account or download is required.
- You get a prompt like “Name a country that borders Brazil.” Type one real answer.
- You have 25 seconds per prompt; seven prompts make the daily round.
- Your answer is matched against a fixed list of known answers, then scored by how rare it is.
- Submit early if you are sure — the clock only runs out, it never helps you.
How to get better at Krillion
Krillion scores you against a prior that was locked when the question was published. That number does not move while you play. If 30% of the reference population would give an answer, it scores as plankton whether you submit it at second one or second twenty-four. This is worth knowing because it removes a common instinct: there is nothing to gain by waiting to see how the round is going.
Answers are grouped into clusters before scoring. “USA”, “United States” and “America” are the same answer and receive the same tier. You are not rewarded for typing something unusual in form, only for naming something genuinely unlikely. That also means the krillion game cannot be beaten by punctuation or abbreviation tricks.
The target zone sits between obvious and obscure. The first answer that occurs to most people lands in plankton at 40 points for a daily round. An answer that is clearly true but not the first one someone would reach for — a smaller bordering country rather than the largest one — lands in schooler or rare. That is the band worth aiming at, because you can still be confident you are right.
The cliff is at half a percent. Above it you score deep cut at 640 points for a daily round; below it you score one in a krillion at 1,000. That 360-point swing is the single largest jump in the table, and it is where a strong run separates from a good one. It is also where most wrong answers come from, so treat it as a bet rather than a target.
